We all face unfavorable situations in our lives where our mental strength is being tested; it’s easy to get through when things are in control. The real test is when you meet with ordeals or whatever challenges you encounter despite whining about the whole scenario. In that case, you act resilient, see things from a different perspective, and take decisive action to get through the ambiguity.

Mentally tough people exist; they are not a miracle, nor do they have special insensitivity powers, big budgets, comfortable lives, and extra time. They know it is not an innate quality; it is easily achievable.

Mental toughness doesn’t mean that you avoid your emotions; instead, you understand the ways your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors are all incorporated together. It’s about how we choose to respond based on our feelings.

  • They practice Gratitude

“True forgiveness is when you can say, Thank you for that experience” — Oprah Winfrey

We all encountered happiness and hardships throughout our lives. Mentally tough people approach the attitude of gratefulness in life to have a heightened sense of awareness which brings out the simplest treasures life has to offer and draws out a new level of appreciation. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
