Wellness refers to more than just the absence of illness. It is not something you just settle into; rather, it’s an active, self-aware process of growth across the board. One definition of wellness is “the state of being in ideal mental, physical, and spiritual health”.
However, common understandings of wellness include six subcategories: emotional, social, physical, spiritual, intellectual, and occupational.
